On this day, December 7, 2010 Mike and Kyle Johnson along with then President J. D. Green and his wife Diana, deliver the El Camino to Teri Wells, the winner of the drawing for the El Camino. It was then Vice President Mike Johnson’s idea for the drawing which started the fundraising for the Central Auto Racing Boosters Hall of Fame and Museum. The drawing was held at the 2010 banquet. The stated goal was to collect funds to build a building and create a local racing museum with banquet facilities to house the C.A.R.B. banquet and the Hall of Fame dinner. It is well documented what has happened since.
